Guidelines and Instructions
The Community Housing Recognition Awards are as much about sharing experiences as they are about recognition. That's why we invite you to celebrate your achievements, honor your community, and help inspire others!
While we encourage broad participation, please review the following guidelines:
- Nominees Eligible:
Submissions must be made by:
- A First Nations Community in Canada
- A First Nations Tribal Council or PTO in Canada
- Any First Nations organization in Canada
(Entries submitted by companies or corporations cannot be accepted.) - Focus Areas: Highlight any housing project that has positively impacted the community in areas like technical, administrative, or leadership/planning.
- Submission Requirements: Complete all fields and include relevant images/videos for proper processing.
- Recognition: All submissions will be acknowledged and will be moved to “Judging” stage. Please note not all submissions will receive an award.
- Permission to Share: By submitting you consent to share success stories at the conference, social media and/or other platforms.
- Project Timeline: Submission should be based on a housing-related project or achievement completed within the 2025 Calendar Year.*
- Review Process: Submissions will be reviewed by the Judging Panel (First Nations Housing Community) in the month of December 2025.
- Entry Fee: There is no Entry Fee for the submission.
Please note submissions received after deadline i.e. October 31, 2025 will not be considered.
*If the project will not be completed by November 30, 2025 but is expected to be completed by December 30, 2025, we still encourage submissions.
Please Note:
- All submissions are subject to the above eligibility rules and terms and conditions. Subject to approval of the First Nations Housing Community.
- By submitting content to First Nations Housing Conference, you acknowledge and agree that First Nations Housing Conference and First Nations Housing Community shall have the right to use and reproduce the submitted content in future years. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of the content in publications, reports, presentations, marketing materials, and any other communication channels or platforms utilized.
- First Nations Housing Conference and/or First Nations Housing Community shall not be responsible for any claims or disputes arising from the submission and use of the content.
