This year the First Nations Community Housing Recognition Awards 2023 (FNCHRA2023) bring in new opportunities for communities from across Canada to participate, an opportunity to share your success stories with delegates at this year's First Nations Housing Conference October 24-26 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.

This year's award categories include:

Regional Recognition Awards – Awarded to two communities outside of Ontario. These Awards celebrate excellence in First Nations housing across Canada with a First Nation community or organization eligible to win from all provinces/territories. Two communities will be honoured with a maximum of one per province or territory, for their exceptional contributions and dedication to building thriving, sustainable housing solutions.

Founder Awards – Awarded to two communities from Ontario recognized by the First Nations Housing Community founding Tribal Councils. The Provincial Awards celebrate excellence in First Nations housing across Canada with a First Nation community or organization eligible to win from all provinces/territories. Community Spirit Award – Awarded to the entry with the most public votes overall.
